Brand Anvil, LLC, doing business as ScapeMaker (“ScapeMaker,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), provides AI-powered landscape visualization, lead-qualification, and related software services for landscape contractors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit scapemaker.ai, use the ScapeMaker application, purchase a subscription or implementation service, contact us, or submit information through a ScapeMaker experience embedded on a contractor’s website.
Information We Collect
Information from contractors and account users
- Account and contact information, such as name, business name, email address, role, and login information.
- Business profile, branding, service-area, pricing, service, and website configuration information.
- Subscription, transaction, plan, and billing-status information. Payment-card details are handled by our payment providers and are not stored directly by ScapeMaker.
- Support requests, communications, and feedback.
- Usage information, including design activity, plan limits, feature interactions, device and browser data, IP address, and security logs.
Information from homeowners and other visitors
- Contact information submitted through a contractor’s ScapeMaker experience, such as name, email address, and phone number.
- Property and project information, including property photos, location or address information, selected services, project goals, preferences, and estimated budget.
- AI-generated analysis, conceptual visualizations, preliminary scope, materials, estimated investment ranges, and design booklets associated with a request.
- Technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as IP address, browser and device details, referring page, timestamps, and anti-abuse verification results.
If you use ScapeMaker through a landscape contractor’s website, that contractor may collect and use your information independently. The contractor’s own privacy policy also applies to its practices.
How We Use Information
- Provide, personalize, maintain, secure, and improve ScapeMaker.
- Create and deliver landscape concepts, analyses, preliminary scopes, estimated ranges, and related materials.
- Send homeowner requests and generated results to the applicable landscape contractor.
- Manage accounts, authentication, subscriptions, billing status, usage limits, onboarding, and support.
- Send service, account, security, and transactional communications.
- Detect fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our terms.
- Understand performance and product usage and improve our services.
- Comply with law, enforce agreements, and protect ScapeMaker, our customers, users, and the public.
How We Share Information
We may share information:
- With the applicable landscape contractor. Information submitted through a contractor’s branded experience is provided to that contractor so it can evaluate and respond to the project opportunity.
- With service providers. We use vendors that support hosting, database and file storage, authentication, AI processing, email delivery, payments, bot protection, analytics, monitoring, and customer support. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us.
- For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our agreements, investigate fraud or security issues, or protect rights and safety.
- In a business transaction. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate protections.
- With your direction or consent. We may share information for another purpose you request or authorize.
We do not sell personal information for money. We do not use homeowner property photos or project information to advertise unrelated third-party products.
AI Processing
ScapeMaker uses third-party AI services to analyze submitted project information and create conceptual landscape content. Information sent for AI processing may include property photos and project preferences. AI output can be inaccurate or incomplete and must be reviewed by the homeowner and a qualified landscape professional. Please do not upload confidential documents or information that is unnecessary for the landscape request.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that are necessary for authentication, session continuity, security, preferences, checkout, and service performance. Our service providers may also use these technologies according to their own policies. Browser controls may allow you to restrict cookies, but disabling necessary cookies can prevent parts of ScapeMaker from working.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and security records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Contractor account data is retained for 90 days after cancellation before it becomes eligible for permanent deletion, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, backup, or dispute-resolution purposes. Information shared with a landscape contractor may also be retained by that contractor under its own policies.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service, transmission method, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Account users are responsible for protecting their credentials and promptly notifying us of suspected unauthorized access.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You may update certain account information through ScapeMaker or contact us to request access, correction, or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights concerning your personal information. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where permitted or required by law. If your information was submitted to a landscape contractor, you may also need to contact that contractor directly.
Children’s Privacy
ScapeMaker is intended for businesses and adults seeking landscape services. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information.
International Use
ScapeMaker is operated from the United States. If you access the service from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other locations where our service providers operate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a revised “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when required by law.
